Kutenda Gold Trading L.L.C. is a Dubai-based limited liability company established in early 2025. Specializing in the import, export, and commercial trading of raw gold and precious metals, Kutenda is structured to operate across multiple jurisdictions with an emphasis on security, transparency, regulatory rigor, and ethical trade practices.
Kutenda is led by a seasoned leadership team with deep expertise in commodity trading, risk management, and financial governance. This foundation enables the company to effectively manage and facilitate high-value transactions across key markets in Africa and the United Arab Emirates. By leveraging regional partnerships and global best practices, Kutenda has become a trusted and efficient partner in the international precious metals trade.

Meet The Founder
Joseph Kayembe
Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Is an African national with a strong background in mining and a degree in International Business. He brings extensive networks across multiple African countries and has secured reliable, legally compliant, and fully documented gold supply channels for export to the UAE. His regional expertise and on-ground relationships are vital to Kutenda’s sourcing strategy and operational success.
- Raised in the copper and cobalt mines of Lubumbashi, DRC
- Fluent in Lingala, Swahili, French, and English
- Multiple corporate positions, including National Manager for Enviroserve Waste Management in Kinshasa, DRC
- Former Principal Assistant to a Special Envoy of the President. Also, previously a strategic consultant to the Special Advisor on the Environment for the Office of the President in DRC. Deep expertise on the environmental impact of precious metals mining.

Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
The CFO is a British National and UK-qualified Chartered Accountant with more than 15 years’ experience at PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in over 20 countries.
Operations Manager
Vicky — 11 years in Dubai.

Is a UK Chartered Accountant and former Regional Director at PricewaterhouseCoopers, overseeing operations in 29 countries across Europe and Central Asia. With over 30 years of experience, his core expertise lies in international tax accounting and financial oversight of multinational operations. He plays a key role in ensuring Kutenda’s financial governance, transparency, and regulatory compliance.

Dr. Eric Rasmussen
MD, MDM, FACP
Serves as the Non-Executive Chairman of Kutenda’s Board of Directors. A Stanford-trained medical doctor with a European Master’s Degree in Disaster Medicine from a WHO-affiliated institute in Italy, Dr. Rasmussen is also a Professor of Medicine at the University of Washington in Seattle. His distinguished career includes service as a U.S. Navy officer with combat deployments to Bosnia, Afghanistan, and Iraq, Chairmanship of an academic Department of Medicine, leadership as a TED Prize CEO with three years at Google, and over 15 years of experience leading both for-profit and non-profit organizations.
